With the holding of cooler temperatures, the snowpack is maintained in the higher elevations and that includes local ski hill Coppervale. The ski hill took to social media this week to address the numerous calls for when the hill will be opening for the season.
Norm said while he is happy to see such excitement the Coppervale remains “dependent upon Mother Nature for snow – while November has been amazing – (the ski hill) is still well short of the needed snow to open. A pre-operational safety inspection will also need to be completed prior to opening day, and that has already been scheduled for the beginning of December. As conditions permit and final preparations are completed full opening details will be shared.
