Community members interested in local wildlife safety and transportation projects are invited to attend a public meeting Thursday evening about the proposed wildlife overcrossing project.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Jensen Hall.

Organizers say the discussion will focus on plans aimed at improving wildlife movement and reducing vehicle collisions in the area.

Additionally, Lassen County Sheriff John McGarva is continuing a series of town hall meetings across the county aimed at keeping residents informed and engaged on public safety issues.

Topics scheduled for discussion include department staffing and recruitment efforts, concealed carry permit information, recent legal updates, school safety programs, local enforcement trends, and open community question-and-answer sessions.

Upcoming meetings include:

  • Spalding on May 21st at 2 p.m. at the Community Center
  • Bieber on May 21st at 5:30 p.m. at Veteran’s Hall
  • Doyle on May 26th at 6 p.m. at the Community Center
  • Susanville on May 27th at 6 p.m. at Jensen Hall

Sheriff’s officials say the meetings are designed to give residents a chance to hear updates directly from the department and ask questions about issues affecting their communities.
