Susanville’s city council will convene for a special meeting ahead of the council’s regularly scheduled meeting to hold the 2023/24 budget workshop.
You can hear of the changes made following the initial draft presentation in April during the workshop. These changes include employee negotiations, debt calculations, and grant forecasts. You will also have the opportunity to hear discussions on the draft budget policy.
This is one of the final steps in the budget process, which began in February. In this timeframe, the city provided an opportunity for transparency into the budget by launching a public commenting period, where you could view and comment on the budget, during which City department heads also released videos detailing thier respective budget.
You can attend the budget workshop tomorrow at 3 pm at City Hall; the council’s regular meeting begins at 5 pm. Agendas can be found on the city’s website, where the meetings will be streamed, and on the city’s social pages.
