As your cobwebs come down and garland decks the halls, the Lassen National Forest begins offering Christmas tree permits tomorrow to fulfill those holiday traditions.
You can get yours through the mail or in person once again, but with the ease of COVID restrictions, online sales will no longer be offered. You can pick yours up at one of 5 locations at the Almanor, Eagle lake, Hat Creek ranger stations, the Old station visitors center, or the Supervisor’s office on Riverside drive in Susanville. Permits will also be sold at local vendors. A complete list has not yet been released, but Permits are 10 dollars. Mailed permit applications will not be accepted after December 12th.
You can visit the Lassen forest service website for more information or print out your application.
