The Chester Fire Department has completed their move over to their new location. The now more centralized location on Main street will hold 1 ambulance, 1 ladder truck, and a fire engine will also soon be joining the station. The Chester Fire Department Headquarters will remain in its previous location on Airport Road and will still house 2 engines. The volunteer firefighters will be able to choose which station to respond from depending on the proximity of the call out. The move also helps the department maintain its Insurance Services Office class 3 rating that determines your property insurance costs.
