Caltrans has closed The Honey Lake Rest Area, on hwy 395. It is closed for plumbing repairs. There is no estimated time for when it will reopen.
If you are planning travel on hwy 299, there is One way traffic control from about one mile east of Cassel Road to 2 miles east of Cassel Road, due to emergency guardrail repairs. Be alert for crews working in the area and slow downs.
