BLM Begins Hazardous Tree Removal on The Bizz

Plan to see trees falling along the Bizz Johnson trail this Thursday and Friday. The Bureau of Land Management will have crews removing hazardous trees that are dying or dead from drought impacts, insect infestation, and other factors. There will be no trail closures, though you may see crews temporarily blocking areas for safety while work is underway. They will be working along the trail just west of the Devil’s Corral trestle, about seven miles west of Susanville, and in the Hobo Camp Day Use Area on the west edge of Susanville.

Work will continue on a more limited basis over the next several weeks until all the hazard trees have been removed.
