A suspect is in custody in connection to the Alturas Desert Rose Casino fire.
The Modoc County Sheriff’s Office released Video footage revealing a person walking towards the establishment wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and a backpack.
The fire broke out early Thursday morning, just before 8 am. Multiple fire engines responded to the blaze and were able to contain the fire to the north-end offices. Calfire’s investigative team determined the fire was intentionally set.
The sheriff’s office says despite having one suspect in custody, the investigation remains ongoing. No further details were provided.
