The deadline is approaching to get rid of excess pesticides you no longer need. The Lassen County Agriculture and Weights Department is looking to take them off your hands but needs to know what and how much you have of the unwanted chemicals. Since the department is not a hazardous waste collector they are seeking to hire a contractor to collectively circuit Lassen and neighboring counties to collect the materials. To properly plan for the disposal event, the department asks that you fill out a survey by September 30th, next Friday. You can contact the office or complete the survey on the Lassen County Ag and Weights Facebook page.
