A snow park may be in your near future at Stover Mountain. The project team for the park met with Lassen National Forest Service to begin talks about getting approval for a special use permit. Additional support was gained from Doug LaMalfa as well. You can share your input on the project at the next meeting set to be in the first week of December. The meeting will discuss research on the permitting process, how other snow parks operate in the area, as well as collaborative opportunities with Feather River. The parks map area will also be discussed, as well as a plan on debris removal, and costs of wildlife and archeological surveys. Stover mountain located outside of chester currently operates as a one lift ski resort on 12 acres. To take part in the planning process for the snow park you can email [email protected].
