A 19 year old sentenced to life in prison for first degree murder, being housed at high desert state prison has been killed by two other incarcerated persons. Christopher Dolan and Michael Ellison attacked Michael Hastey, the 19 year old with hand made weapons while released onto the yards. Officers had to dispense chemical agents and use force with batons to stop the incident. Yet despite life saving assistance Hastey died from his injuries. The death is under investigation in coordination with the Lassen county sheriff’s office and HD investigative services unit.
