Significant Drug Bust in Quincy Following Traffic Stop on Pioneer Road

A routine traffic enforcement stop on Pioneer Road in Quincy on October 20 led Plumas County deputies to make two significant drug-related arrests and seize a substantial quantity of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

During the stop, deputies found that the driver, identified as Randall Dean Warren, 67, of Rolinda, had an expandable baton—a prohibited weapon under California law. A subsequent search uncovered a range of narcotics and related items, including 94.24 grams of methamphetamine, 0.39 grams of fentanyl, 14 methamphetamine pipes with residue, seven foil balls (some containing usable fentanyl), a container of liquid methadone, $605 in cash, and multiple baggies for narcotic packaging.

The individuals taken into custody are:

– Randall Dean Warren, 67, Rolinda, CA. Charges include possession of a controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of an illegal weapon.

– Rachel M. Santos, 37, Sacramento, CA. Charges include possession of a controlled substance, transportation of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance for sale.

Both suspects were arrested without incident and are currently in custody.

The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring public safety, emphasizing that they will continue proactive measures against drug-related offenses in the community.
