The gap widens. The latest Lassen County election results, as of 9 o’clock last evening, show that the distance between the closest races grows, remaining in favor of the leading candidates.
For Lassen Superior Court, Judge Bob Burns gains another 700 votes, while Witry picks up another 500 yet still trails with just under 40% of the vote.
Scanlan widens the gap between himself and Chris Cole, surging ahead by nearly 130 votes against his opponent, Chris Cole, for Supervisor of District 1.
In the race for District 2 between Thomas Hererra and Gary Bridges, Hererra picks up another few percentage points, but not enough to close the gap. Gary pulls ahead with 450 votes to Hererra’s 315.
For the Susanville City Council, Curtis Bortle, who was fighting for the third seat, gained a 70-vote lead over Maria Fregulia, solidifying his spot among the top three, joining Patrick Parrish and Dawn Miller.
The elections office had 3282 unprocessed ballots as of yesterday afternoon.
