Lassen and Plumas Presidential Primary Results Update

Just under 200 ballots are left to be counted. According to the Lassen Elections office’s latest update from yesterday evening,
Little has changed in the results since the closing of the polls a week ago today.

No leads have been turned over, but more firmly secured. The most significant change is with the City of Susanville City Council race, where the top three reached over 1000 votes each, still secured by Curtis Bortle, Dawn Miller, and Patrick Parrish.

Another results update is expected this evening by 6 pm.

Plumas County updated results are expected by Thursday, March 14th, where Measure A, the ¾ of a percent Sales transaction tax increase is hanging in the balance; the Sheriff’s Office is hoping to secure voter approval to bring an estimated 2.4 million dollars in funding to the department to bolster staffing and complete against neighboring county departments.
