It will be a remark-a-bull day as the Lassen County Fair kicks off!
Fair manager Kaitlyn Midgley invites the community to join the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Front Entrance Gate near Jensen Hall at 11 am today. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, you can walk through the numerous vendors and shop for crafts and specialty foods. Rides will open at noon.
Then, enjoy the Miss Lassen County pageant this evening in the grandstands as ten ladies compete for this year’s scholarship and crown. Miss Lassen County 2023 Chalise Robbins reflected on her time as Miss Lassen County, sharing with the JDX Live at 5 team last Friday, “It’s been a fun experience and has been life-changing, and I am grateful to all who help with the pageant.”
Each day of the fair will feature a special free admissions day: Wednesday is for those with special capabilities, Thursday is kiddies’ day, Friday is old-timers’ day, Saturday is for veterans, and Sunday is family day.
