BIDWELL MANSION ARSON ARREST: Kevin Alexander Carlson (30) in custody at Butte County Jail
BCFAC News 1/3/2025 Chico, CA – A 30-year-old Chico man, Kevin Alexander Carlson, has been arrested in connection with the Bidwell Mansion fire that occurred on December 11.
Carlson was taken into custody on suspicion of arson and other charges by a collaborative effort of California State Parks, Cal Fire, Chico Police Department, and Chico State Police Department.
The fire was determined to be an intentional act of arson by Cal Fire on December 17.
Carlson is currently being held at Butte County Jail.
More details about the arrest are expected to be revealed at a press conference scheduled for Monday at the Butte County District Attorney’s Office.
