After being stranded for three days in the snow, an Arkansas man and his dog were rescued in Modoc County.
The Modoc County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff’s Posse responded to a remote part of the County Wednesday afternoon. Without food or water for three days after being abandoned by the people he was staying with, the man finally resorted to seeking help. The sheriff’s office says the man walked to a location where he could get cell service and called for help.
Fortunately, neither the man nor his dog required medical attention.
The Modoc County Sheriff’s Office says the mission would not have been as successful without the help of Full Throttle in Alturas. They quickly installed tracks on the Sheriff’s office ATVs, allowing them to traverse the snow-covered terrain to rescue the man and his dog.
