Crescent County will be hosting the Crescent Classic Rides Car Show on May 16th from 9am to 2pm. No entry fee or judging, just for good, small town fun. There will be raffles.

Red's Reptiles will be teaming up with Sierra Valley Grange to present the first reptile expo in the Sierra Valley! 100% of the proceeds are being directly donated to keep our local grange alive! Interested in vending? May 16th from 10am to 4pm.  Admission is only $5.

Thursday, May 21st Highway 395 Wildlife Crossing project
The public is invited to learn about the Highway 395 Wildlife Crossing project at 6 p.m. May 21 at Jensen Hall at the Lassen County Fairgrounds.
The project seeks to increase safe passage for wildlife and reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions.
It is expected to be shovel-ready in 2028.
Speakers at the event include John Clerici, Lassen County Transportation Commission and Mari Galloway, California Program Director, Wildlands Network

The 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26. The run will start at the historic courthouse in uptown and make its way down to the current Superior Court. The ceremony will start at 0645 hours and the run will commence at 0700. The route is approximately 1.7 miles and will be at a slow pace to ensure everyone is able to stay together. After a challenging summer that required us to postpone the Mile High 100, ARPD is thrilled to once again host this long-standing, iconic ride around beautiful Lake Almanor and the surrounding mountains and forests.
Now in its 42nd year, the Mile High 100 promises to be better than ever! The recent road construction on Hwy 36 has resulted in smooth new pavement and wider, safer shoulders—especially up the challenging Johnson Grade.
