Excuse the dust and mess on Main street in Susanville. Les Schwab is taking on the task of tearing down a condemned building for accessibility. Yesterday Construction crews and heavy machinery tore down the old building with a caved-in roof and deteriorating walls. Assistant manager Mitch Lee said this remodel of the parking lot will prevent customers from turning around to find another service center due to no parking and allow technicians to rotate out completed vehicles more quickly. The change will also welcome semi trucks and those with trailers to access the parking area, which was previously a challenge.
