Lassen National Forest announces the extension of its free fuelwood program. What started in 2020 due to the pandemic has become a forest service norm. Through the end of the year, you can get your permit to cut personal fuelwood throughout the forests. You can get yours by visiting the FS website for District Office hours and locations to pick up permits.
