Lassen County forestland owners have an opportunity to participate in a Post Fire Forest Resiliency Workshop. The event is put on by the – UC Cooperative Extension Agriculture & Natural Resources. The workshop aims to help you learn about managing your forestland after wildfire events and ask questions. In a hybrid style workshop you will attend zoom conferences along with an in-person field day with topics to be covered including erosion, invasives, hazard trees, and fuels, Time frame, and steps needed for reforestation, Safety, and erosion control, as well as how you can take care of dead trees. The workshops begin Online weekly on Tuesdays, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm September 6 to October 4. 2022, and in-person field trips are set for October 12, Thursday 13, and Friday 14 for which you only need to attend one.
