The city cannabis ordinance, city board appointments, County Fair Parade, and the fire department‘s budget approval to buy a new type III engine are all on the agenda for this week’s Susanville City council meeting with Mayor McCourt at the helm. The council will discuss the repeal of the cannabis ordinance as signatures have been verified, if not repealed the ordinance would be turned over to the voters of the city during the November general elections. The city also has a few board positions to fill on the planning commission; Mayor McCourt will also recommend committee appointments to the city’s various boards, commissions, and committees there are a total of 16.
