Honey Lake Valley Resource Conservation District will be developing a wildfire recovery program for forest landowners. The RCD recently got a grant for 2.5 million dollars from the USDA Forest Service to help private landowners throughout Lassen County who were in some way impacted by the fires over the past 3 years. The funds will help develop the program that will have an outreach and recruitment component if you own forest lands, and will help you remove dead trees from your property as well as plant new seedlings. The program is under development and an announcement will be made about how you can participate. You can find out more by visiting honeylakevalleyrcd.us
