Beginning at 11 am today plan Caltrans will begin the Townhill Brake Check project along highway 36 just West of Susanville. The project will expand the existing truck brake check parking area to include new safety lighting, new striping and pavement repairs. Those delays are expected to be in place for 15 of the 45 working days. The brake check location will be closed from April 11th to May 31st.
