Plumas county no longer belongs to the 1st congressional district represented by Doug LaMalfa thanks to the 2020 census data that redrew the north state congressional district boundaries. Plumas will now be in the 3rd congressional district. This coming Saturday you will have the opportunity to meet one of the candidates running to represent you in congress. Current Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones has thrown in his name to run and will hold a meet and greet in Quincy. The California State Sheriffs’ Association has even endorsed the Sheriff. This Saturday bring your questions for Jones. The meet and greet will be held at 2pm at the Feather River Publishing Board Room on Lawrence Street.
