A lighted bike path is in the works for connecting the Susan River walk to Riverside Park. It will also include a pedestrian bridge that will cross the Susan River on the Mill side of Riverside Drive. The Susanville City council directed the City Administrator to move forward in that planning process. The city will be using Federal grants to complete the project, yet construction funding is still needed. The city will have ten years to complete that project as federal funding stipulates the project must get completed or the funds from the grant must be given back.
