Winter Burn Ban for American and Thompson Valley Areas

No more burn piles after November 15th if you’re in the American or Thompson Valley areas. The wintertime burn ban was put in place in 1991 because the main source of heat comes from wood burning stoves in the area and is part of an initiative to keep the air quality within permissible standards required by state and federal regulations.
