Traces of E. Coli have been found in the water for the Chester Public Utility district. In order to make your water safe you will need to boil it first for at least one minute. Over the weekend Chester PUD found common bacteria after water sampling and had treated the water with chlorine. As of today the traces of E. Coli were found. You could end up with intestinal or stomach illness if you do not boil your water. You can also use bottled water until the notice has been lifted. The source of the contamination has yet to be found and there is no estimated time of when the boil notice will end.
