New patient beds give Eastern Plumas Healthcare patients more peace during their stay. The hospital bought several new beds that have functions allowing nurses to monitor heart rate and breathing through the mattress eliminating the need to wake or move patients. New gurney beds in the ER also are capable of getting a patients weight as well as x-raying trauma patients through the gurney. The new beds are top of the line, with pressure redistribution and microclimate management to as well to keep patients cool and comfortable. The purchases are a part of an ongoing process to better patient’s experiences at Eastern Plumas Hospital.
