Caltrans Dist. 2 to Host Public Meetings on U.S. 395 Safety Improvements

 California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 2 is holding a series of public meetings and presentations to discuss the upcoming Red Rock to Doyle Safety Project on U.S. Route 395.

​The primary public meeting will take place on Monday, Oct. 19, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Doyle Community Center. As part of the project’s environmental phase, community members are invited to learn about planned safety enhancements along U.S. 395 and speak directly with Caltrans staff.

​In addition to the main community meeting in Doyle, Caltrans District 2 will present updates to local government bodies and hold a session in Susanville:

  • ​Lassen County Transportation Commission Presentation: Monday, Oct. 19, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Accessible online via the LCTC Zoom agenda).
  • ​Lassen County Board of Supervisors Presentation: Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (Streamed live on the BOS YouTube channel).
  • ​Susanville Public Meeting: Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Pizza Factory in Susanville.
