Supporting Teens in Choosing Healthier Habits with Tobacco Prevention Programs

Helping students choose healthier habits begins with providing the right tools and support.

LCOE’s Tobacco Use Prevention Education Program offers two American Lung Association programs tailored for teens.

INDEPTH serves as an educational alternative to suspension for students caught vaping or using tobacco. The program goes beyond punishment by helping students understand nicotine, recognize their triggers, and make better choices.

Not On Tobacco supports teens ready to quit or cut back on tobacco and nicotine. It teaches practical ways to handle cravings, spot triggers, build confidence, and develop a personalized quit plan.

Students can find learning opportunities or support for quitting through these programs.
