There’s more to the Lassen Gravel Adventure Ride than miles and gravel. It’s volunteers getting up early to make sure riders have a great day. It’s friends riding together. It’s team party pace. It’s stopping to enjoy a view that makes you forget how many miles you’ve already ridden. It’s moon dust covered shoes. It’s discovering a road you’ve never traveled before. It’s cheering someone up the last climb. It’s small town vibes at the finish line. It’s the community coming together around bikes, adventure, and the incredible places we get to explore.
The Lassen Gravel Adventure Ride benefits the Susanville Area Bicycle Association and Lassen Land and Trails Trust, helping support the trails, outdoor recreation, and community that make adventures like this possible.
Two weeks from today, we’ll be doing what we love—riding bikes, exploring gravel, and enjoying the beauty of the Lassen National Forest.
We can’t wait to share the adventure with you.

This year, the Lassen Gravel Adventure Ride caters to all abilities with a selection of four distinct courses:

Full Squatch (94 miles): You’ll go to Silver Lake and back with stunning views of beautiful forests, meadows and lakes. Click here for the course map.

Half Squatch (63 miles): This 63-mile course leads you out the Bizz Johnson Trail and onto a maze of wonderfully-scenic gravel backroads through mountain meadows and forests. Click here for the course map.

Short Squatch (40 miles): This 40-mile course leads you out the Bizz Johnson Trail and onto incredible gravel backroads in the Lassen Natl. Forest. The loop passes Goumaz CG with a climb before it heads downhill back home. Click here for the course map.

Mini Squatch (14 miles): An ideal introduction for gravel cycling newbies or families. Enjoy a 14-mile round trip to Devil’s Corral with Brunch on the Bizz at the top.

All courses start and end at the historic Susanville Train Depot, 601 Richmond Road.

The event features multiple well-stocked rest stops throughout each course. All finishers, in all ride categories, will receive a unique finisher medal.

All registered riders will receive a commemorative finisher’s medal, a branded giveaway and a logo sticker (there are more for purchase). A coupon for a free meal and a free beer is also included in registration. Soft style blend t shirts are an optional item for purchase with your registration.

Online registration ends Thursday, September 10th at 5:00p.m. The race is limited to 500 participants.
