The Westwood Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to lace up their running shoes and kick off Paul Bunyan Festival Day with a fun run that gives back to local student-athletes.
The 5K Fun Run will be held on Saturday, with registration beginning at 7 a.m. at the Westwood Visitor Center. The race starts at 8 a.m.
The cost to participate is $20, with proceeds benefiting Westwood High School sports programs.
Organizers say the event is a great way to support local students while enjoying the start of one of Westwood’s signature summer celebrations. The fun run serves as the official kickoff to the annual Paul Bunyan Festival, which features a full day of family-friendly activities throughout town.
