Seneca Healthcare District is pleased to announce that the Lake Almanor Clinic has welcomed Dr. Tamara Simon, MD, MPH, a highly experienced and board-certified gynecological surgeon, to its team of providers serving the Chester and Lake Almanor communities. Dr. Simon brings more than 18 years of clinical experience in women’s health, offering comprehensive gynecologic care with a special focus on menopause management and hormone replacement therapy. She is known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach and her dedication to helping women navigate every stage of life with confidence and support.

“Adding Dr. Simon to our team reflects our continued commitment to expanding access to high-quality women’s healthcare in our community,” said Brady Haynes, Chief Operating Officer of Seneca Healthcare District. “Her depth of experience, combined with her focus on personalized, patient-centered care, will make a meaningful impact for the patients we serve here in the Lake Almanor Basin.”

Throughout her career, Dr. Simon has owned and operated successful medical practices in Idaho and Montana, where she provided a wide range of services including preventative gynecologic care, diagnostic testing, and advanced in-office procedures. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Simon holds a Doctor of Medicine from Eastern Virginia Medical School and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Immunology from the University of California, Berkeley. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Saint John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Simon’s practice emphasizes both prevention and long-term wellness, offering services such as comprehensive gynecological care, menopause care, hormone therapy, and more. Though her treatment can be specialized to women, she also treats men for sexual health and wellness. Her goal is to ensure that every patient feels heard, respected, and empowered in their healthcare journey. Please note that her practice does not include obstetric (OB) or prenatal care.

“I am excited to join Lake Almanor Clinic and to serve the women and men of this community,” said Dr. Simon. “I look forward to building lasting relationships with my patients and helping them achieve optimal health and well-being.”
