1954-2026
Yolanda Soto Smith, born on July 18, 1954, danced from the surley bonds of earth into our Lord Jesus Christ loving arms on April 20, 2026. Yolanda passed away after a long battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). Yolanda lived in Janesville for the last 13 years and she lived in Lassen County for the last 30+ years. Yolanda was a loving, caring, beautiful, energetic and passionate lady that was loved by all who knew her. Yolanda was a Zumba Gold instructor and an Aerobics instructor at New Image Gymnasium and at the Diamond Mountain Casino & Hotel in Susanville, California, as well as several other places throughout California and Nevada for over 37 years. Yolanda was preceded in death by her son Alan M. Hargrove, her father and mother Nate & Martha Soto, her brother Nathan Soto and her mother in law JoAnn Smith. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Anthony Smith, her 2 sisters Orpha Bracy (Dan Bracy) and Lizzy Means (Randy Means), her Goddaughter, Makayla Tory Amero along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Yolanda will be dearly missed by all who knew her. On Saturday June 27, 2026, at 1:00 pm a celebration of life for Yolanda will be conducted by Pastor Darren Hogan at Honey Lake Valley Assembly of God. A get together for those who want to attend will happen at Tony and Yolanda's house after the Celebration of Life. A graveside burial will be conducted on a future date that has not yet been determined.
