The Lassen Sportsmen’s Club held its 2026 Junior Fishing Derby with 328 young anglers registered. This marks an increase of 50 participants from last year. Club members and volunteers worked hard to make the event run smoothly.
Sponsors provided support for food, fish, and prizes. Every participant enjoyed a range of fish to catch, prizes to win, and food to eat. Parents brought their children to take part in the event.
JDX/KSUE broadcasted the prize giveaway live. Jeremy Couso and Marshel Couso captured photos of the contest and the prize ceremony. Rocking M Productions will release a mini documentary about the derby on YouTube soon.
Kirack Construction supported the event by allowing time and resources for its organization.
