Plumas County Public Works reports that the Chester green waste program at the Chester Transfer Station is set to open for the summer Friday, April 24, weather permitting.
The hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The facility accepts green waste at a rate of $7 per cubic yard. Stumps, large rounds of wood, large limbs and construction debris are not accepted.
Payment is available by cash or check only.
