The Office of Assemblymember Heather Hadwick reports that Plumas County’s Feather River Blue Star Moms group was awarded its Heart of the Community Award for the month of March.

Hadwick said she is proud to recognize individuals, businesses, nonprofits and organizations across the 1st Assembly District whose work “strengthens our communities and improves the lives of our neighbors.” Feather River Blue Star Moms joins other award-winning organizations across the 1st Assembly District. Seneca Healthcare District was awarded the Community Impact Award for March.

The Heart of the Community Award recognizes Feather River Blue Star Moms members for their “unwavering support of our military families,” said Hadwick’s office. “Through their compassion, service and dedication, they uplift those with loved ones serving our country. Their work strengthens community bonds and reminds us all of the sacrifices made by our service members and the families who stand beside them.

“I am deeply grateful for each of these awardees and the work they do every day,” said Hadwick. “Their service reminds us that strong communities are built by people who show up, care deeply and lead with purpose. We are proud to have folks like you in our community. Thank you for making AD1 a great place to live!”
