LHS sophmore Marley Smith traveled to reno this weekend with Lassen’s head coach Brian Moore to compete in a 3 day tournament featuring wrestlers from all over the United States, England, Japan, Russia, and Spain. Day 1 Marley secured a 15 second win by pin in the quarter finals. Day 2 Marley took a loss in the semi finals to a Washington state wrestler and followed up with a phenomenal win by pin against another wrestler from Washington in the consis. Day 3 Marley came to compete against the number one seed from Oklahoma securing a win by decision in the third period and a 3rd place finish. Marley was able to challange for 2nd place against a wrestler from Oregon taking that match by decision in the third period and staking claim to the 2nd place trophy and her 5th ALL AMERICAN title.
