The Community Foundation of the North State (CFNS) today announced the establishment of new Critical Response Funds in Shasta, Siskiyou, and Tehama counties to address urgent community needs during this time of uncertainty and disruption. These three funds will be seeded with $2,500 each from the Shasta County Fund, Siskiyou County Fund and Tehama County Fund.
CFNS is raising money to award grants to local nonprofit organizations and public entities that provide vital services to help households keep food on the table, remain in their homes, keep the lights on, and access other essential resources while federal benefits are delayed or disrupted. Now is a critical moment for our nonprofits and residents,” said Kerry Caranci, CEO. “These funds are designed to move resources quickly to trusted local organizations who are on the front lines of helping our neighbors weather this difficult time. Together, we can make an even greater difference to meet the moment.”
Grant awards will be determined on a rolling basis by a diverse group of local community stakeholders. Funding will be directed to organizations providing direct assistance.
Donations can be sent to the Community Foundation at 1335 Arboretum Drive, Suite B Redding, CA
