CHP Quincy responds to pickup truck crash in Sierra County
California Highway Patrol Quincy responded to a pickup truck that went off the road in Plumas County on Wednesday morning.
CHP Quincy said that the incident happened on SR-89, north of Calpine at around 10 a.m.
When crews arrived at the scene they found a 36-year-old male driver from Calpine who was trapped inside the pickup, according to authorities. The driver told officials that he had crashed the day before at 2 p.m. and had to spend the night in his truck.

According to officials, the driver stated that he just wasn’t paying attention which resulted in him going off the road.
Graeagle Fire mechanically removed him from the wreckage and was transported to Renown with serious injuries, said CHP Qunicy.
Authorities said, “Please remember the responsibility we all have to each other when operating these rolling hunks of metal.”
