Almanor North Campground closes for the season September 22, and Legacy Campground will close October 6. Workers and machinery will be in the area. The Almanor Boat Launch is still open.
Expect to see heavy equipment, fallers, chippers, and logging trucks as this forest health driven logging project and post logging clean-up is completed. If you’re out biking on the Lake Almanor Recreation Trail watch for people flagging traffic during operational hours.
