California Fish and Game Commission to Discuss Expanding Bear Hunt in Modoc County

URGENT: This Thursday, September 11th, the California Fish and Game Commission Wildlife Resources Committee will be discussing the proposal to expand the bear hunt area into Northeastern California Bear Conservation Region, which includes the majority of Modoc County. There will also be discussion about allowing bear hunters to attain a second bear tag. The meeting starts at 10:00 a.m.

Today, Modoc County Sheriff drafted a letter today in support of this important decision for our County and sent it the Fish and Game Commission. The Sheriff ask that if you wish to send a letter expressing your support you may do so by emailing it to the following address. [email protected]
