The Sierra County Sheriff’s Office is aware of several fires burning in Western Sierra County. We continue to monitor conditions closely and are in communication with the U.S. Forest Service regarding the six identified incidents:
* Lavezolla Fire
* Vegetation Fire (near the Lavezolla Fire)
* Downie Fire
* Goodyears Fire
* Union Fire
* Vegetation Fire (south of the Union Fire)
Should conditions change and evacuation warnings or orders become necessary, the Sheriff’s Office will send out notifications. Please stay alert as conditions could change.
