Plumas Bank Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Promotions

Plumas Bank has announced several changes to it’s leadership team. The promotions reflect the bank’s commitment to empowering its employees and supporting continued excellence across its operations in northern California, bank officials said.

  • Tracy Thurber has been named senior vice president, branch administration and client experience. With over 30 years of experience at Plumas Bank, Tracy has played a pivotal role in shaping the bank’s operations and enhancing the client experience across its service areas. Her leadership has driven significant operational improvements and technological modernization over the past five years.
  • Amber Marshall has been promoted to senior vice president, risk manager. Amber began her career at Plumas Bank in 2001 and has steadily risen through the ranks, demonstrating dedication and excellence in her work. Amber achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in 2022 while working full-time, showcasing her commitment to both personal and professional growth.
  • John Whiting has been promoted to senior vice president, administrative systems and loan services manager. John has been with Plumas Bank for 15 years, where his leadership and performance have been integral to the bank’s success. He was recently accepted to the prestigious Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.
  • Cheryl Cooper has been promoted to vice president, special assets group officer. Since joining Plumas Bank in 2002, Cheryl has demonstrated exceptional dedication in managing the bank’s extensive portfolio of dealer auto loans and consumer loans. Her leadership in this critical role has been invaluable to the bank’s success.
  • Ellie Hatch has been named assistant vice president, business advisor. Ellie joined Plumas Bank in 2018 and quickly demonstrated strong leadership skills in several branches. She played an essential role in assisting the clients affected by the Dixie Fire and later helped lead the Chester Branch team. Her promotion to business advisor comes after her successful leadership in the branch and the ongoing development of her skills.
