JENSEN HALL, LASSEN COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS – The annual Family Connections Conference is set to take place on Saturday, March 15th, offering a valuable opportunity for parents, grandparents, foster parents, childcare providers, and all those involved in caregiving roles to enhance their skills and knowledge. The event, themed “Creating a Connected Family,” aims to support caregivers in raising emotionally intelligent, kind, confident, and resilient children.
Scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the 2025 conference will feature insightful workshops designed to provide attendees with the tools needed to navigate the challenges of parenting. Esteemed guest speakers Kjessie and Andre Essue will lead sessions on a variety of topics including:
- Creating a Connected Future Family Vision
- Examining Your Present State of Parenting
- Parent Mind: How Thinking Impacts Our Connection
- How/Why We Make Our Children’s Actions a Reflection of Us
- Parenting from a Place of Inherent Worth
- Tools for When Things Get Messy
The conference promises a day filled with food, conversation, and essential information, aiming to leave participants feeling refreshed, inspired, and equipped with new strategies for effective caregiving.
Organizers highlight the collaborative efforts of several community organizations in making this event possible, including CASA, Lassen County Child and Family Services, Lassen County Office of Education, Lassen County MCAH, Lassen Hearts, and Sierra Cascade Family Opportunities.
While advance registration is strongly encouraged to ensure adequate seating, food, and materials, walk-ins will be accommodated. Attendees are advised that childcare services will not be available during the event.
