The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into criminal allegations involving members of the Tehama County Board of Supervisors and certain department heads.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began after a report of a possible DUI driver was made from the Tehama County Administration building on March 25, 2025.

The Sheriff’s Office found that Pati Nolen, a board member, had no measurable alcohol in her system when stopped by police. Sheriff Dave Kain emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability, stating, “At the conclusion of our investigation, we will determine whether criminal charges are warranted.”

The community is asked for patience as investigators work to gather facts and evidence. Updates will be provided as needed, with a full report to be released upon completion.
