Just after midnight on Sunday, a Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Deputy contacted a vehicle near Manfredi’s Market in Dunsmuir. Inside, a female was passed out in the front driver’s seat with drug paraphernalia in plain view. Fortunately, the woman came to after repeated attempts to awaken her, and a probable cause search was initiated on the vehicle. In addition to an array of drug paraphernalia, the Deputy also located 8 oxycodone pills and two bags containing 38.9 grams of fentanyl.
The driver, Kaeleen Koger, aged 32, of Klamath Falls, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance as well as possession of unlawful paraphernalia and booked in the Siskiyou County jail. The quantity of fentanyl in Koger’s possession was sufficient to provide 19,450 lethal doses, and we are proud of our Deputy’s diligence in removing this dangerous drug from the streets of Dunsmuir.
