The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is asking for the public’s help in finding a man that went missing on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
Rocky Ramirez left a home in Humboldt County around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, heading towards Yreka. He was last heard from around 12:30 p.m. in the Hoopa area, and was expected to arrive in Yreka by 3:30 p.m.
While Ramirez never arrived, his car was found off an embankment near the Ti Bar River access along Highway 96, between Somes Bar and Happy Camp. He was no where to be found.
The SCSO Search and Rescue, the Dive Team, California Highway Patrol Air Ops, and CAL FIRE Air Ops are working together to search the area.
