Shasta County Issues Evacuation Orders and Warnings Amid Green Fire Activity

Due to fire activity on the Green Fire, at this time the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office is splitting Zone LKH-1448 into 2 zones.

Zone LKH-1448-A, the southern half of the zone, is now under an Evacuation ORDER. This is a lawful order to leave now. The area is lawfully closed to public access.

Zone LKH-1448-B, the northern half of the zone remains under an Evacuation WARNING.

Additionally, Zones LKH-1190 and LKH-1200 are being placed under an Evacuation WARNING due to a potential threat to life and/or property. Those who require additional time to evacuate, and those with pets and livestock should leave now.

Sheriff’s Office personnel will be conducting evacuations in the affected areas. Those who evacuate to the west should go to the Collection Point at Gilman Road and I-5.

Those who evacuate to the east toward SR-299 should go to the Collection Point at Halcumb Cemetery.

The location of an Evacuation Shelter will be announced in the event one is needed.
